We are a group of local students, teachers, engineers, friends and family members of medical professionals concerned about the shortage of Personal Protective Equipment faced by the medical professionals and first responders in our community.
We have decided to do what we can, with what we have, where we are to get our medical people the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) they need. To date, we have fabricated more that 100 face shields for the nurses, doctors, medical assistance, and nurse practitioners.
We also are now working to answer the call for assistance from our local police and fire departments, who are putting themselves at risk even more so than they usually do. On Sunday, we were able to drop off the first 20 face shields to the Acton Police Department with a promise of 15 more so that each officer has a face shield.
